Polymer with exceptional chemical resitance, Polytetrafluorethylene - PTFE, is the most widely used plastic for industrial sealing. The only products that chemically attack PTFE are liquid alkaline metals and free fluorine.

Sintering or extruding PTFE, puro or mixed with other materials, obtains gasket products, which are used in services where it is necessary to have a high chemical resistance. There are materials with distinct physical properties to meet the needs of each application. As with any fluid sealing material there is some overlapping between each other. Several materials can be used successfully in the same application.

The PTFE also has excellent properties for electrical insulation, anti-stick, impact resitance and low friction coefficient."
